Installing Mamona rootfs on a SD card

If you have installed a modified initfs and can boot from MMC/SD card (see the  maemo wiki for instructions on how to do that), then you can also install Mamona onto a partition on the external/internal card.

Instead of flashing a FIASCO or a jffs2 image, you can unpack a rootfs on the partition and as long as it is a proper file system (ext2/ext3, not VFAT) it should work ok.

You can get the rootfs by 3 ways:

You should tar up the rootfs (use the -p option with tar to preserve permissions etc) and extract at your SD card.
