It is planned for next releases:

  • a newer gcc, glibc and other applications.
  • more applications
  • more machines
  • Full Qt support including Qtopia or KDE
  • MDM - Mamona Device Manager
  • Working closer to OpenEmbedded

See milestone:0.3 for more info.

Abandoned or Postponed

  • Mamona SDK for Maemo (Chinook Compatible) - Mamona must mean flexibility. For this reason it is not a good idea freeze packages version.
  • New and lighter theme for Enlightenment - We couldn't find a real lighter and stable theme for E.

Known issues

  • N8*0: Network connection can crash after 30 minutes transferring huge files -  https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2979 . This bug has been fixed on diablo. You can avoid this problem replacing kernel and initfs.
  • Rebuilding a package from source ("apt-get build-dep" and dpkg-buildpackage) inside mamona chroot doesn't work at the moment (see ticket #134).
  • As described at  QEMU FAQ you cannot use gcc4 to compile qemu, use gcc3.x instead.
  • Due to some strange reason Usb Net support is not working on N770 (see ticket #155).
